Photographs from Queen’s final tour with Freddie Mercury

Queen’s manager, Jim “Miami” Beach, had sent me business class tickets and booked me into the Hilton Hotel in Munich, along with the band and several members of the crew. It was the first time I had ever flown business class. My sister was driving me to the airport. I was running late for my flight, but I had one of the first mobile phones — really a car phone with a five-kilo battery. Back then, you could call the airport and ask them to hold the plane, and mentioning that I was going on tour with Queen did not hurt.
