Don't Try So Hard

Photographs from Queen’s final tour with Freddie Mercury

The Magic Tour looked effortless from the audience, but behind it was a huge machine. The stage production was transported by up to 20 trailers, and the crew worked with three stages at the same time: one being used, one being taken down, and one already being built in the next city. In total, around 60 trucks were involved. As a photographer, I saw both sides — the magic on stage and the work that made it possible.
