Photographs from Queen’s final tour with Freddie Mercury

Stolen dreams. In 1984, I spent a week in London photographing the likes of Depeche Mode, Jethro Tull, Ultravox, Iron Maiden, and Queen. The energy from Freddie’s performance rocked me to my core; the legs of my pants literally fluttered as I walked past the speakers in the photographers’ pit near the stage. But my camera gear and exposed rolls of film were stolen from my rental car. It was a theft with consequences.
