A Kind of Magic

Photographs from Queen’s final tour with Freddie Mercury

– only Artist Proofs 12.000 € and various sizes still available. Thomas Johansson from Live Nation allowed me to display an 8-square-meter photograph backstage during Queen’s performance in Stockholm. Taken at a concert in Montreux, the image had originally been intended for the window of NK department store, together with Queen albums and books, but it had arrived too late. The following day, I was called to a meeting with Queen’s manager, Jim “Miami” Beach, at the Grand Hotel. During that meeting, I was invited to photograph the Magic Tour. They wanted to see more of my experimental images. It would turn out to be Queen’s last tour with Freddie.
