Tina Turner filled Globen three nights in a row, 17–19 May 1990. Foreign Affair: The Farewell Tour was her seventh concert tour, but the farewell was not really a farewell. She would go on to make four more major tours. She had a voice and a stage force that could not be photographed halfway. You could only try to keep up when she took over the room. There was nothing cautious about Tina Turner. The legs, the hair, the voice, the tempo. Everything was movement. Everything was energy. A few years ago, a good friend turned 50. My gift became a surprise: a mini concert with a well-known Swedish artist who had toured with a Tina Turner show. It says something about how strongly she lived on, even far from the big arenas. She died in 2023, aged 83. A long life, and yet it still feels as if the stage became smaller when she disappeared.
