Sting is one of the artists I have photographed many times over the years. This time at Casino de Montreux, he had long hair. One may have opinions about that. The stage at the casino was the same for all the artists, so much of it was about finding the differences in expression. The light, the posture and what each artist brought with them onto the stage. This is a fairly direct concert image from a time when everything was still shot on film, and you had to take what happened in front of the camera – and wait until you came home to see the result.
