Another Beatle. I only began photographing artists in the eighties. By then The Beatles had long since broken up, and John Lennon had been shot. But The Beatles were one of my first great idols. I remember going camping as a young man with some friends. We brought a battery-powered record player and a stack of Beatles records. That evening he played Golden Slumbers / Carry That Weight / The End from Abbey Road. A superb suite. I love the transition into Carry That Weight. Paul at the piano, even if for many people he will always be connected with the Höfner bass. Those were the days. Now Paul McCartney stood there in front of the camera, many years later. And I think I should soon take out my old vinyl collection again.
