Portraits and visual memories from the international music scene

Roskilde was something else compared with the large indoor arenas. A festival means raw music, long days, rain and mud – although that particular year it was more dust than mud. The audience spread far out from the stage. I stood at the front, close enough to feel the pressure from the stage. Lenny Kravitz was still early in his career, but already impossible to mistake for anyone else. I remember thinking: imagine having hair like that.
