Portraits and visual memories from the international music scene

This was the first and only time I saw Phil Collins with Genesis. He was fairly calm on stage, and not a great deal happened in front of the camera. When an artist is restrained, you mostly work with the light, the angle and the small things that actually happen. Later I photographed Phil Collins at various festivals, and also behind the drums together with, among others, Eric Clapton. This image is more a document from a moment than a dramatic concert photograph.
